IMnet GPF General Purpose Frame Released: 28 June 2002 Launched at networks telecom europe 2002, APW Standard Products’ new IMnet GPF open frame is the latest addition to the comprehensive IMnet networking enclosure family. Consisting of a slightly modified IMnet framework, the versatile IMnet GPF is available as a two-post 300mm deep version or a four-post 600mm deep unit, both either 600 or 800mm wide and 25U to 47U high. The space-saving 300mm deep GPF is bolted to the floor or wall; the 600mm one is a free-standing unit. Intended for both telecoms and datacoms applications, the low cost IMnet GPF provides all round access without having to remove any cladding; it is compatible with the full range of direct mounting IMnet accessories such as clip-in chassis supports and it can be configured for both 19” and ETSI equipment practice. The IMnet GPF can also be configured with kits to accept up to 188 Krone block kits or 56 HDC fittings. The blocks or fittings are mounted in two vertical channels, separated by three vertical cable run channels. All 19” and ETSI mountings and the specialised interconnect kits are produced in a variety of heights, enable the IMnet GPF to support multi-practice equipment and different termination methods in the same frame, giving the user an unlimited number of options in the way in which the unit is used. *** Ends: body copy 219 words *** Notes to Editors.
