KAC launches World Series smoke detector range with unique remote test capability

KAC has further extended its product offering with the introduction of the World Series conventional detector range.  KAC now provides an ideal single source for many types of ancillaries associated with detection systems offering its wide customer base outstanding service levels, competitive pricing, ex-stock availability and in-depth technical support.  

The most innovative new feature to be incorporated in the World Series Detector is its laser-based remote test capability.  The engineer can test the detector from ground level, doing away with the need for long poles or stepladders and consequently saving considerable time during commissioning or maintenance.

The new range consists of the most technically advanced conventional smoke detectors ever designed, incorporating features normally found only in analogue addressable units.  A photoelectric detector, a combined photo-thermal unit and fixed and rate-of-rise thermal detectors are all available.  A highly integrated design, digital signal processing and an optical chamber which is extremely tolerant to the long-term build-up of dust results in an exceptionally stable and sensitive smoke detector.

All models operate at both 12 and 24VDC, making them suitable for both security and fire systems; they meet the requirements of the latest EN54 2000 Standards and a number of different bases ensure compatibility with the great majority of control panels on the market.
