Hubbell select PIC as only cable supplier for UltraBit Cat 6 systems warranty

After extensive independent third party testing of its Category 5E and 6 networking cable products, Hubbell, the leading US manufacturer of Structured Cabling Systems and Accessories, has approved PIC, part of the Twentsche Kable Group, as its top tier European systems cable partner.  

Adrian Newsome, Hubbell Premise Wiring EMEA Product Manager states that, "With the impending ratification of cables into the CPD, PIC is well positioned to meet network designers and installers future requirements through a product portfolio including, LSZH and PVC sheathed cables whilst even offering a plenum-rated range."
 
PIC Category 5E and 6 cables combined with Hubbell components guarantee a significant margin of  headroom above the worst-case specification requirements.  PIC is the only cable supplier approved by Hubbell for the new UltraBit Cat 5E and Cat 6 systems.  Both the 5E and 6 UltraBit systems support 10, 100 and 1000 BASE-T and 155Mbps ATM protocols, and the Cat 6 system offers both component and channel performance exceeding the requirements of the draft TIA/EIA Category 6 and ISO/IEC Class E Category.  The UltraBit 25 year system warranty guarantees worst-case ACR and PSACR performance margins, with repair/replacement and associated labour costs covered in full under the warranty.
