Surtech sign deal with market leader Rittal

Surtech Distribution, the Andover-based specialist distributor of enclosures, thermal management products, power supplies and related electro-mechanical components, has signed a distribution agreement with Rittal during their recent " Now Open Your Mind" distributors' seminar at Hellaby, Rotherham.  Initially covering the Ripac 19" subrack range, Surtech will offer full technical support, design assistance and commercial support for the range; extensive stock holding will continue the company's well-deserved reputation for high quality service.

Mike Johnson, Surtech Sales and Marketing Director, said, "The recent upheaval in the market when APW ceased UK manufacture meant that KM6 subracks, the brand of choice for many generations of design engineers, is now no longer so readily available.  We conducted an exhaustive survey of potential alternatives and our research indicated that the Ripac system enjoyed an outstanding reputation with its users.  We are delighted to have reached an agreement with Rittal that will enable us to offer our wide customer base one of the best subrack systems currently available.  Rittal are committed to specialist distribution companies as a key route to market and we are pleased to be able to play our part in serving the electronics market with high quality enclosure products.  Their extensive range of high quality subracks and an exhaustive portfolio of modules, panels and other accessories complement the rack and enclosure products we are already successfully marketing."

The Ripac range of 19" subracks conform to all relevant international specifications, support all major bus systems such as CompactPCI, VME and their derivatives and are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
