The new detector complements the other devices in the family: the multi-sensor photo-thermal detector, which is an effective and environmentally friendly alternative for an ionisation detector, the photoelectric detector and 58°C fixed and rate of rise thermal detectors. Typically drawing a low quiescent current of 60µA at 24VDC, all Vision detectors are compatible with the great majority of conventional fire control panels available on the market. Approved to EN54-5: 2000 Class BS, the 78°C detector can be latched into alarm from ground level during routine preventative maintenance by using the unique Vision laser test tool, saving time and money. A variety of bases to suit different applications and control panel configurations are available as part of the family. *** Ends: body copy 171 words *** Notes to Editors.
