Winkelmann at HOSDB Show 8 - 9 March

Winkelmann UK, the specialist manufacturer of counter-surveillance and anti-terrorist equipment, will be exhibiting its latest products on Stand D03 at the specialist HOSDB Show, open to UK law enforcement personnel, to be held at RAF Halton on 8th and 9th of March 2006.

Established in 1994, Winkelmann has grown rapidly to become one of the world's leading specialists in the design, development and manufacture of a wide range of electronic countermeasure devices.  It is a long-established supplier to the police, customs, military and intelligence services, and the Home Office Scientific Development Branch Show is the ideal opportunity for police service customers to hold face-to-face meetings with senior Winkelmann staff to discuss the latest equipment and trends in the highly specialised field of counter surveillance and anti-terrorist equipment.

On show will be the latest version of the company's flagship product, the MS300, a highly sensitive broadband counter surveillance receiver which allows the detection of all major types of surveillance threat.  The Hawk 450XD Electronic Device Detector, widely used in EOD search operations to detect hidden electronic devices regardless of whether the device is radiating, hard-wired or turned off, will also be demonstrated.  Anti-terrorist equipment, such as the Woodpecker fibre optic stethoscope (FOS), based on a unique optical acoustic technology and yielding excellent sound quality, enables police officers to listen and record through concrete walls, windows and doors without the need to be inside the room, a potentially invaluable asset when monitoring suspected terrorists, rescuing hostages or dealing with armed criminals who have barricaded themselves in a building.
