APW appoints Surtech Distribution Ltd

APW Electronic Solutions has appointed Surtech Distribution, the Basingstoke-based component distributor, as a Value Added Reseller and distributor for its range of mechanics products, PCB accessories and prototyping boards. In addition to acting as a normal stocking distributor, Surtech Distribution will also act as a VAR, building on their existing strengths and capabilities developed with other, non-competitive franchises. Assembly services for mechanics products, project kitting, enclosure configuration and personalisation are offered, enabling customers to purchase higher level sub-assemblies meeting their specific requirements.

Carolyn Watkins, APW UK Sales Leader, said, "As a volume manufacturer, distribution is a key channel to market for us. APW will concentrate on its core strengths of product design and development, cost effective manufacture and higher level system integration.
