Optimised for both the development and production environment, the Zephyr family provides high packaging density for space limited rack mount applications or a self-contained integrated enclosure for stand-alone use. Both sizes are fitted with 6U CompactPCI backplanes conforming to PICMG 2.0 Rev 3.0; the 2U 4 Slot version can optionally be fitted with a H110 CT bus compliant backplane. Zephyr supports 160mm deep front mounted modules and rear transition modules. In the 2U size, 3.5" or 5.25" HDD mounting plates are provided for systems requiring mass storage outside the active module area. Thermal management, using APW's Patent Pending Hybrid Serial-Parallel arrangement, is provided as an integral element of the 1U version; in the 2U version, a hot-swappable front-loading fan tray gives left-to-right cooling with an optional LED fan status indication. 2U power options are a fixed ATX PSU giving 250W, a 200W pluggable supply or, for high availability systems, dual 200W hot-swappable pluggable units. The 1U version is powered by a fixed ATX PSU with PFC, rated at 110W. *** Ends: body copy 215 words *** Notes to Editors.
