The unique "X" frame design means that unlike all competitive products, cables do not have to be threaded through a frame, so cable runs throughout the building can be positioned first, with the cabinet then being offered up and the breakouts into the cabinet connected, significantly reducing installation time. Cables can be laid into the cabinet through three separate apertures in the top cover, located at the rear and on both sides, allowing 3D cabling throughout the rack. Space for vertical cable runs and dedicated front-to-back cabling space is provided at both sides of the panel mounting area. In suites of enclosures, rack-to-rack horizontal cable runs can be run in front of the recessed front verticals, again saving time. There are also four apertures on the base, giving even more flexibility in cable routing. The roll-out of 10GBase-T systems over copper media and the increasing use of singlemode and multimode fibre in the LAN has increased the importance of cable infrastructure management. IMnet offers the most advanced cable management capabilities of any enclosure on the market; all dedicated cable spaces are designed so that cables must follow large radius paths and there are no sharp edges so that it is impossible to bend, kink, stretch or crush the copper or fibre cables. In the new version, the load rating is 500kg and the structural rigidity of the frame has been increased by 60%, the doors have been redesigned to give greater rigidity, ensuring that they do not catch or jam. The side panels have also been improved; the original slam latches are replaced by sliding bolts: as well as improving the fit, this also increases security as the side panels cannot now be removed without opening the door. *** Ends: body copy 320 words *** Notes to Editors.
