Analogue addressable fire system control panels

Notifier Fire Systems has added two new cost-effective analogue addressable control panels to its extensive portfolio.  Aimed at medium to large sites, the AP15 is expandable from one to five loops; the AP12, for smaller installations, will control one or two loops.  Each loop has a maximum capacity of 99 analogue detector and 99 module addresses.  Up to thirteen panels can be Master/Slave networked in either Shared Zone mode, with the panels forming one large system, or in a Report and Control configuration where each panel works as a sub-system, networked for report and control functions only.  The AP15 can also be networked in a Superior Master and Sub-Master configuration, enabling up to 99 panels to be interconnected.  Up to 31 Active or Passive repeater panels can be connected to the RS485 peripheral bus to further enhance the overall capabilities of the system.  Each panel can support up to 120 software programmed fire zones.

The system has a self-learn capability for each zone, it can be programmed using the dedicated PC upload/download link or it can be manually configured.  An RS232 and an RS485 serial communication ports are also provided

Fourteen standard status messages are displayed on a two line 40-character LCD display; in addition up to twenty zones have individual zone status displays; up to eighty zones can have visual status displays by adding additional boards.  

A full range of compatible detectors, sounders and modules are available as part of the package.  Sounders can be either loop or externally powered; conventional zones can be integrated into the AP15 and AP12 by using the conventional zone module and the system can be extended into areas of high dust and dirt using the unique HARSH optical sensor.
