DIN Rail mounting kit for addressable modules Released 29 June 2001 New from System Sensor Europe is a DIN rail mounting kit which enables any of its analogue addressable modules to be mounted directly on an industry standard DIN rail in an enclosure rather than in a dedicated surface mounted or back box. The kit simply replaces the existing front cover of the module, giving the fire system installer greater choice in how the modules are installed. System Sensor modules provide a number of different functions to enhance the functionality of an intelligent fire system. The M512ME conventional zone monitor module enables an existing zone of conventional detectors to be given a single address, a particularly useful function when a system is being upgraded. The M500CHE control modules provides either voltage free contacts or supervises externally powered devices such as horns, sounders and strobes, isolating the power supply from the communications loop. The M500ME monitor module interfaces with contact devices such as security contacts, water flow switches and manual call points and the M500XE isolator module is an automatic switch that enables groups of devices on a loop to be isolated if a short circuit fault develops. *** Ends: 214 words *** Notes to Editors.
